The working principle of thermostatic valve
The temperature control in the user's room is realized by the radiator temperature control valve. The radiator temperature control valve is composed of a thermostat controller, a flow regulating valve and a pair of connectors. The core component of the thermostat controller is the sensor unit, that is, the temperature bulb. The temperature bulb can sense the change of ambient temperature to produce volume change, drive the valve core of the regulating valve to produce displacement, and then adjust the water volume of the radiator to change the heat dissipation of the radiator. The set temperature of the temperature control valve can be adjusted manually, and the temperature control valve will automatically control and adjust the water volume of the radiator according to the set requirements, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the indoor temperature.
How to choose a thermostatic valve
① Generally speaking, if the most economical investment is the selection principle, the benefits of energy saving of the automatic temperature control valve are not considered, and the automatic temperature control valve is not considered in the future, the pure manual temperature control valve can be selected;
② If the owner needs to upgrade to an automatic temperature control valve in the future with little investment, you can choose a dual-adjustment temperature control valve. This double-adjustment temperature control valve is basically the same price as the pure manual temperature control valve;
③ If you want to make a one-step choice, you can directly choose an automatic temperature control valve, which is generally about three times the price of a manual temperature control valve.
Classification of thermostatic valves
There are two types of thermostatic valves: manual and automatic. The automatic temperature control valve is composed of a self-operated actuator of a temperature sensor and a special matching temperature control valve body. The automatic temperature control valve is also called a self-operated temperature control valve or an automatic constant temperature valve. There are two most common two-way valves in the structure of the valve body; the most common two-way valve is the straight-through valve and the angle-through valve; the manual temperature control valve usually adopts the screw lift valve core, and the rotation of the handle changes from the screw to the linear displacement of the valve core.
The temperature sensor in the temperature control valve head is generally filled with two kinds of media: liquid and solid. As for the difference between the two valve heads, it should be said that there is not much difference in the field of HVAC applications. If you must say the difference If so, in the following respects:
1. Different in size. Generally speaking, a larger amount of liquid is required to achieve the same thermal expansion displacement of liquid, so the volume of the temperature sensor is larger, so the volume of the valve head is larger. The head is more beautiful.
2. The sealing technology of liquid is more complicated, and the production cost is slightly higher than that of solid, so the sales price tends to be higher.
Liquid valve heads are a bit more sensitive than solids, which is the only advantage of liquids over solids, but in HVAC, a typical high-hysteresis system, this advantage is of little use.
